My Story

Business is in My DNA

When I was 6 years old I started climbing orange trees to pick fruit to sell. By the time I was 17 I was working my way through college as a title searcher.

I am lucky and grateful that I learned the value of hard work from my father.  My dad started out as a migrant farm worker who became a self-made real estate developer, builder, and hard-money lender.

There are many things may father and I have in common:

  • We are driven by the work, not the praise.
  • Both of us believe that our creativity abilities are endless.
  • Belief in our endless creativity gives us the motivation to keeping working on a problem until it is solved.

  • Possessing the ability to do things very well is a special skill that not everyone possesses.

  • Helping others with our special skill is our first response to a situation. It is part of our destiny.

  • Dad and I know that success is a choice that needs to be made every single day.

  • Since we both worked in land, we are completely in awe of the transformative quality of property rights.

“Laura has an incredible grasp of the technical side of the business. She excelled in her role, allowing her time to work on process improvement with the use of technology to streamline and improve day to day operations.”

“In all my years of business management, Laura was by far the best employee I’ve ever had. Her energy, enthusiasm, and experience set her scores above the rest. She is a dedicated team player who also maintains her individuality – a unique combination in an employee. She goes above and beyond the call of duty: constantly looking for creative ways to improve sales, customer retention, or business operations.”

“I’m very thankful for Laura Scroggins. Laura’s ability to connect with people and high intelligence are some of her strongest character traits. Laura’s strong work ethic and impenetrable value system make Laura a major asset to anyone and to any firm seeking outliers. Thank you Laura for being “that person” who made unbelievable influence in my life and helping to guide me in the right direction!”

California Real Estate Update

In 2017 I produced 20 podcasts of the California Real Estate Update, a weekly 60 second newscast that featured 1-3 quick facts or stories of interest. I wrote and produced the show with a professional broadcaster.

The episodes are uploaded to SOUNDCLOUD along with the originally designed artwork for the “album cover”.  The episodes are then pushed from SOUNDCLOUD to Apple iTunes where they are published and made available from my own channel.
